The Best & Worst Dressed of the 2018 Met Gala

Hi guys,

It’s that wonderful time of year again, when celebrities converge at the Metropolitan Museum of Art to show off their best looks. This year’s theme was “Heavenly Bodies – Fashion and the Catholic imagination”. This meant we were due to see a lot of headdresses, a lot of crosses, and a lot of long, loose silhouettes. As always, my critiques are based on how the outfit looks, and the adherence to the theme. Read on for the fashion recap.

Why You Need To Start Exfoliating Your Scalp

Hi everyone!

I’ve talked about unorthodox beauty routines before, like oil cleansing your makeup brushes and this entire post. I’ve come across more slightly unknown, but key items, to add to your hair routine. Read on for more.

You Need To Start Oil Cleansing Your Makeup Brushes – Here’s Why

Hi everyone!

I’ve spoken about the wonders of oil cleansing before, but for anyone who needs a refresher, it’s pretty simple: instead of just washing your face at night, you should use an oil cleanser first. Oil breaks up oil, and adding an oil cleanser to your routine will better wipe off creamy and oil-based makeup like your foundation or concealer. Also, those with oily skin benefit from using an oil cleanser because the oil in the cleanser attracts the oil on your face.

The Best & Worst Dressed of the 2017 Met Gala

Happy (post) Met Gala Day! Known to fashion lovers as the Superbowl of Fashion, the Met Gala often brings out the best of style. This year’s theme was “Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between.” If you’re not familiar with Rei’s work, this architectural designs, unconventional silhouettes, and a lot of volume. So basically, an avant-garde look was required of the guests.

Things to do On Valentine’s Day (Besides Dinner)

Valentine’s Day is next week, and even though I am very single, I am looking upon that day with no sense of dread or sadness. Technically, V-Day is a celebration of love. Any kind of love. From romantic love to platonic love to parental love to the love of your pet cat. There’s no reason to feel like you can’t celebrate if you’re not in a relationship. Romantic dinners are usually the status quo for February 14th, but if you’re looking for something else to do on that day, I have some ideas for you. You can do these activities by yourself, with friends, or whoever you want to spend time with.

7 Things You Should Know Before You Become a Writer

I never really knew that I wanted to become a writer. It kind of snuck up on me. I’ve always loved books and reading, and I would imagine what I would do differently, which characters I would create. After I graduated, I kept trying to submit some of my writing to online publications, but I was too lazy to complete the assignment (I suck) or I was too scared to try. When this opportunity with Delish came about, it wasn’t exactly what I was looking for, but I’m know realizing that it’s what I needed to move my career in the right direction. I am not some accomplished author trying to give advice to the *little people*, I’m just a young writer who wants to share what she’s learned in her short but interesting journey. Whether you write op-ed pieces, novels, or beauty articles, I think there’s a little bit of something in this list for everyone.

My Skin Care Routine

Happy New Year! For the past couple of months, my skin has gone south. Way south. The texture is weird, my color is spotty, and I have bumps that don’t seem to be going away no matter what I do. I decided to do a complete overhaul of my skin care routine. These are the new products that I’ve been using for about the last month:

Things To Do on New Year’s Eve (Besides Partying)

New Year’s Eve is a time to look back on the past year while also looking toward the future. And for some reason, a lot of people like to do this introspective thinking while guzzling down lots of champagne and partying the night away. If you’re like me, this type of revelry may not be your scene. But what happens if you still want to celebrate the new year? Check out my list.
