Happy (post) Met Gala Day! Known to fashion lovers as the Superbowl of Fashion, the Met Gala often brings out the best of style. This year’s theme was “Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between.” If you’re not familiar with Rei’s work, this architectural designs, unconventional silhouettes, and a lot of volume. So basically, an avant-garde look was required of the guests.
It seems like summer weather has arrived with absolutely no warning at all. And while I’m loving the sunshine, I’m already dreading when the temps are going to hit the 80s and 90s (and even 100s on some days). Unfortunately, I’ve been
blessed cursed with overactive sweat glands, and even the slightest rise in temperature leaves me a sweaty mess. However, I plan to be prepared this year, and these are the products that I will have in my sweaty girl arsenal.
It’s officially spring, and that means we’re that much closer to sweet sweet summertime. Hopefully you’ve already started making your summer plans! And now, it’s time to snag your swim suit. Traveling is definitely something that I want to do this year, and these are some tips and tricks to help you get your summer travel plans in order.
Valentine’s Day is next week, and even though I am very single, I am looking upon that day with no sense of dread or sadness. Technically, V-Day is a celebration of love. Any kind of love. From romantic love to platonic love to parental love to the love of your pet cat. There’s no reason to feel like you can’t celebrate if you’re not in a relationship. Romantic dinners are usually the status quo for February 14th, but if you’re looking for something else to do on that day, I have some ideas for you. You can do these activities by yourself, with friends, or whoever you want to spend time with.
For the past couple of months I’ve been co-washing. Everything has been going well, but I noticed my scalp didn’t feel that clean, and sometimes my hair would feel like it had build up on it. I chalked this up to the fact that while the homemade yogurt-honey-olive oil conditioner I had been using was great for treating and conditioning my hair, my locks still needed a deep-clean every once in a while.

We’re in the second week of the year, it’s super cold (at least it is in NYC), and you may be looking to pick up a few things to spice up your wardrobe. Well I am your trendy fairy godmother and I am here to help. Let’s begin.
Happy New Year! For the past couple of months, my skin has gone south. Way south. The texture is weird, my color is spotty, and I have bumps that don’t seem to be going away no matter what I do. I decided to do a complete overhaul of my skin care routine. These are the new products that I’ve been using for about the last month:
