How To Style Your Winter Coat

Hi guys!

We are in the thick of winter, and you’ve (hopefully), picked up your winter coat already. But sometimes it can be hard to know what to wear with your coat. Luckily, this guide will show you just how to take your coat from 😕 to 😃.

Faux Fur

There’s just something about a fur coat that adds a dash of fabulosity to any outfit. Let your coat shine with plain black jeans or leggings on your legs. And while it might seem redundant to wear a hoodie under a fur coat, but on those extra-cold days, you’ll be glad you did. You could also go for an all-black look, with the fur being the star of the show. For your shoes, sporty Adidas sneakers or edgy ankle boots complete the outfit.

Puffer Jacket

Puffer Jackets
Puffer jacks are runway-approved right now, and there are a million ways to style them. For some reason, I’m so drawn to idea of wearing a sweater dress or maxi dress underneath a puffer (this was my inspo). Go for thigh high boots to keep your legs warm, or Chelsea boots for a more low-key look.

Checked Coat

Wearing a checked coat automatically makes you look like you have your s*** together. Underneath, try an all tailored look – crisp pants, a nice blouse, and either loafers or Mary Jane heels.

I’ve long had a love of parkas – remember this trend round up from last year? This year is no different. Skater skirts and tights are always a good look, but mom jeans also complete the outfit. On top, a graphic sweater complements a parka perfectly.

Trench Coat

There’s just something so utilitarian, yet sexy, about a trench coat. The classic trench is always perfect, but you can also switch things up with a colorful, silkier trench. A monochromatic look is so 2018 – match your jacket to your shoes, top, and pants. Another option is a bold pant selection (yes, you can wear a summer print in the winter). For your feet? A moccasin or  lace up ankle boot.
